Style/ Plot – What attracted me to this book was that it is a CBT based guide. It defines the different voices that one can have playing in one’s head: Worried, False Comfort and Wise Mind thoughts. Knowing how to identify each thought provides relief.
The writers provide a number of exercises to illustrate their points. These help the reader identify strategies to prevent intrusive thoughts from overpowering you. Also, there are helpful facts provided that help readers hone in on the points the writers wish to emphasize.
