Book Review: The Hidden Agenda by Russell Stendal & Alethia Stendal

I enjoy reading books of all genre but what really draws me is when a book is written in such a way that it feels like I’m smack in the the quagmire of events. I had never heard of the authors before and once presented with the opportunity to read this book, I seized it.

It is one written by a father (Russell) and his daughter (Alethia) about their experience in Colombia; a country riddled with violence and conflict. He was kidnapped and then returned to minister to his captors with such absolute determination and drive to turn hearts to God. I enjoyed the way the book was written as it was sort of a journal and you felt it was a deep insight to the mind and thoughts of reactions to circumstances.

It is engaging and I recommend this book to anyone who wonders what actions can be taken in the midst of seemingly dire situations.

Have a lovely day people!
