Walk to work

I enjoy walking a lot and I would rather walk than take the bus or drive (except my destination is more than 45 minutes away on foot…or I have insane shoes on).

Nevertheless, my project this month was to walk to work and take lots of beautiful pictures on my way. I left my oyster at home and ended up walking to wherever I needed to go (which meant I didn’t go out unnecessarily). It was fun and gave me the opportunity to discover places I had never seen because I was always on the bus or the tube.

For example, the picture of the obelisk at St. George’s Circus. I practically pass by it twice a day and never realised how beautiful it could be (that is, if the area is not as busy as a market).

Also, the view from Blackfrairs’ Bridge is breath taking at night. I stood there for over 30 minutes just basking the beauty (whilst shaking like a leaf…it was just too cold biko).

I almost passed out when I got to Tower Bridge because I had been walking from Limehouse on this particular day…it was worth it though. Capturing the moon beautifully shining down on the bridge.

In other news, I have decided that for the next month, I would do away with my bag/purse and see if I can carry all I need for the day in my coat. The male folk don’t have to bother about bags and potentially dislocating their shoulders, why do I always have to carry my bag around? I just realised that most of the time, I never even use half of its contents. I would definitely let you know how it goes.

Have a fabulous day people!
