I made a pact with myself not to post anything on this blog until I started my Insanity work out journey. Let’s just say I can’t wait for the 60 days to be over and to show off my new beach body :).
Yesterday was my first day (fit test) and boy, I had to ask myself why I was putting my body through all this pain and torture. Surely, even the bible says bodily exercise profits little? Well, maybe I need the little profit.
I had a fabulous weekend, thanks for asking. I attended a wedding in Lagos and it was just one of the most amazing weddings I’ve been to this year. Plus I played catch up with friends I haven’t seen in 13 years! We had so much fun, it was a tad hard to say goodbye. We are definitely going to keep in touch more and plan holidays together (I hope).
While in Lagos though, I made a very interesting observation about my sister’s cats. You see, they are a bit like vampires. Oh no, they do not look like vampires, they just act like that. Case in point is this: they do not enter a room without being invited but once they are invited, the think its their perpetual right to go in and out as they please. I sure did teach them a lesson by chasing them out of my room with a hair dryer. I promise, I didn’t practice animal cruelty.
In other news, I’m back in Abuja and had the opportunity to hang out with a couple of my girlfriends. We went to a place called Yahuza (my Abj peeps know where that is) and we ate lots of Masa and Suya…and engaged in my favorite activity—-> people watching. :).
Have a fabulous day people!
